Operational Risk Foundations

We are excited to offer our next course in our Foundations series this one on Operational Risk.

Operational risk refers to the potential disruptions or failures within an organization's internal processes, systems, or activities that may hinder its ability to meet obligations. In many ways operational risk is the greatest threat to meeting obligations and why it is so important for compliance practitioners to understand how to contend with it.

In this course you will learn how to identify what can go wrong and what needs to go right to ensure compliance obligations are continuously met. We will be hunting for the dragons of uncertainty and if you are up to the challenge we invite you to come along.

• Learn the nature of operational risk and where to find them.
• Learn four types of uncertainty and how they create the opportunity for risk.
• Learn the five immutable principles of compliance program success.
• Learn how to use a pre-mortem and bow-tie analysis to create a compliance risk plan.
